Brooklyn's Chocolate Pie

Ingredients you'll need


  • Frozen pie crust

  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

  • 2 tablespoons flour

  • dash of salt

  • 1/4 cup cocoa

  • 1 cup

  • 2 cups milk

  • 3 eggs yolks

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 1 tsp vanilla



Step-by-Step Cooking Instructions


  1. Allow the pie crust to thaw for 5-10 minutes, then fork it and bake it in a 375-degree oven until golden brown, about 10 minutes


  2. Meanwhile, mix together the cornstarch, flour, salt, cocoa, sugar, milk and egg yolks in a saucepan on medium heat, whisking constantly.


  3. Once it starts to thicken and clump (this will take about 10 minutes), add in the butter and vanilla and stir together.


  4. Pour the pudding mixture into the pie crust.


  5. Let it cool and then chill in the refrigerator.


  6. Top with whipped cream.
